Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 24th October 2018 (Series 79, Prelim 84)

Normless being a super spot too! I was watching the episode on my phone and when Susie said it was in, I burst out into laughter! After the show when I checked Lexplorer I was like "So it is a word..." If there was a UK compilation of Dumb Luck in gameshows, this would definitely make the cut...

Spoilers for Thursday 18th October 2018 (Series 79, Prelim 80)

I'm back for the next four weeks, University Exams and Tests have taken a toll on my time here and before long, another round will start again! I must say Martin was on fire today! Tied with Jodine Lawrence for the top score of the series to date! (Jodine appeared in end-June if anyone has forgotten...

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 18th September 2018 (Series 79, Prelim 58)

Well done to Dave! Wow, three in a row, I think that's the high point thus far of this Series... I only have one thing to say today: Rachel's comment on "kicking youselves" in R9 shouldn't be really applied in this sort of situation (I mean, the average contestant won't think of 18 x 51 immediately....

Re: Spoilers for Monday 17th September 2018 (Series 79, Prelim 57)

Commiseations Stephen, but you did do well, in fact you now have the highest score in this Series without a win so far, so if that's any consolation for you. :) Like Tom, I have to mention Dave was seriously on fire today, especially in the Numbers, Round 6's solution was very obscure IMO and he got...

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 13th September 2018 (Series 79, Prelim 56)

It was nice to see Laura make a return on the show after 13 years, commiserations to her but still, a wonderful game with POULETS and FUNDIES from her. Indeed, Countdown runs through your family! Toby, if you're reading this, well done for solving for the conundrum! (Even I blanked out on this one.....

That was a brilliant comeback by Dave! Just shows that you should never give up even if the odds are stacked against you at the late stage...

Geez I had INTERNER and I thought it was in... :( Enter The Governess, the second chaser on the show after The Beast, you got to admit her back story of becoming one was fascinating, plus the fact she can remember events from nine years ago with clear precision is just stunning! :) I hope she can co...

He's done it and ended the Octochamp drought at last!! Two months of a dry spell finally ended today! :D I was hoping third time lucky and it worked! Let's hope for more in the remaining four months we have! On a sidenote I seriously hope Lewis and Bob can make it to the Finals...only time will tell...

Fun fact: First 3 letters of round 10 were EID. Today (August 21st) is the first day of Eid.
I'm glad someone noticed that! :) We celebrate it here where I am!

I can't have been the only one who mentally asked "Is it GANDISEEG?" on the second Teatime Teaser...
Same

Anyone else thought the shuffling of the letters today was bad?

I have to credit Stephen Read's solve last year because this was exactly the same conundrum used in SF1 of Series 76! Buzzed in within one second because of me memorising this back then... :)
