Re: Spoiler for Monday 8th February 2010
I will, Ben. Thank you.
The new week begins with some people still debating over OUTSTEER-gate, but nothing can be done, Jay is the champion, regardless of whether he said OUTSTARE/OUTSTEER, and since he's on 3 wins, he could be an octochamp by the end of the week, so Friday, could indeed be Jay-Day
Hoping to stop him is new Apteforumite, Craig Chittenden, from Southend-on-Sea, the place which gave us the Southend Pier, Southend United F.C., and of course, Rachel Riley.
I believe Craig is a Shrimpers fan, and as we know, Jay is a Man Utd fan, so based on their allegiances, Craig will win this one, if their last match is anything to go by. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 116346.stm
In DC this week, is our first newbie of the decade, and also our first male newbie since Dr. Hilary Jones (not sure what he's up to at the moment ), he's the ex-Olympic swimmer turned topless dancer, Mark Foster.
Whether he'll treat the female following of the show to his impressive body remains to be seen, although I should think that viewing figures will probably skyrocket if he did.
So, will the new week begin with a new champion, or not

Re: Spoiler for Monday 8th February 2010
Yeah, this could be a classic. If Craig plays like he does on Apterous, he might have a chance of octochampdom. I suppose it depends if there are any other good Apterites coming on the show in the next week and a half.Howard Somerset wrote:Me too. In r4 when Jay declared FOAMIEST, I'm sure he actually said 'I'M A CHEATING TWAT'. I watched it back on SkyPlus and he most definitely did.
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

Surprised Suzie thought Jay had misspelt BIRETTA, he was presumably thinking of the gun. She ought to watch more Bond.

You need not have worried. You came across just fine....but I'm really not looking forward to seeing myself on telly.

Cheers everyone. Didn't hate watching that as much as I thought I would, still cringed quite a lot though. I swear my voice isn't that monotonous and I do tend to smile more in real life. I'll blame the nerves.

A good victory, well played. Playing along at home it was a good contest too, by getting the conundrum faster I won 108-107 - you had me beat in rounds 10 and 13. Look forward to watching your next show!

Well done mate. Looking on apterous it seems your numbers are quite hot so I'm guessing some more 6 small is heading our way soon...

Re: Spoiler for Monday 8th February 2010
Something I'd recommend to anybody. If you're new to the Bond franchise, start with Dr. No and just don't stop. I still maintain that The Spy Who Loved Me is the best.Matt Morrison wrote:Surprised Suzie thought Jay had misspelt BIRETTA, he was presumably thinking of the gun. She ought to watch more Bond.
By the way, well done Craig, hopefully you'll win tomorrow, then I can recap you on Wednesday.
