Namagrams

In my previous job, various quizzes used to do the rounds each Xmas Eve as compensation for being at work that day. About 5 years ago, I started doing anagrams of staff names. This later developed into sport, pop and rock personalities.

Since I know you all enjoy solving conundrums, I’ve put together a selection of these “namagrams”. I’ve included some of the more risqué ones that I omitted from the list circulated at work (Judging by the content of some of the threads on this forum, I doubt any of you will be offended).

I’ve split the selection into two sections and given cryptic clues to help out. I hope you have fun solving them.

These are really good, Philip, but I've not had chance to give them a proper go yet. Maybe leave it until Sunday before revealing all?

Definitely give us more time Phil, I'd like to have a go at the football one.
Usually quizzes of half the size at least get a week or two to run.

Ouch - a few misspelt names in there ("BARBARA STREISAND", "OSSIE OSBOURNE", "BOB GELDOFF") which probably didn't help. But still good fun. Thanks Phil (and good to meet you on Wednesday).

Whoops! Can't get them all right.

Besides - If an "F" is out of the question with Bob, you won't have any chance of getting GOBBLED OFF!

Apparently the word Geldof contains the letter F just once. This is pretty fucking funny.

Many words are anagrams of other words.
But my question is, can you think of a word that's an anagram of itself?
2 possible answers.

Do you mean a synonymous anagram such as ANGERED/ENRAGED?

I received a text last night. It said:

"Hi Kirk, hope you had a good summer. Just received request to make 1 word from NEW DOOR. What do you think? Cheers."

Without cheating (this includes using a computer or any aid) can anybody get the answer?
