When the champion offered SAPIENT, SAPIENTS was also valid for 8. I don't think DC mentioned it, which was a bit of an oversight! Always check if you can stick an S on the end!
According to the wiki, the champion (Steve Tant) is on 271 points after 4 games. I believe Steven Turnbull has the lowest 8-game total of any octochamp (in this format anyway and probably including the old 15) with 619. Steve is currently on for 542. He now has to average 87 points a game to get 619, with his current average being 67.75. He needs to average 82.25 to get 600.
