Well done to David Roe for becoming an octochamp and narrowly missing out on being the number 1 seed (but ending up 3rd). I thought it was interesting what Colin said about the tie-break if he'd got the conundrum. David would have ended up on 819 points, the same as Fiona Wood, but Colin said he'd be ahead by virtue of his highest score (117 to 113). But my understanding (and according to the wiki) was that it's done on number of conundrums solved as the first tie-breaker. They both solved 4, but it would be 5-4 to David had he got today's. I wondered if it would have been a tie so Colin just cut that bit out and moved on to the next tie breaking mechanism, but it seems not.

I guess they don't want Susie looking into glory holes anymore?
Some serious censorship going on in Rd10.

I wonder what it was that they said that the C4 censors deemed not screenable, that was deemed fine by those in the studio at the time?

HOWDIES unfortunately is invalid due to HOWDY only being an exclamation and not a noun or verb.

This was my understanding too, but it's so rare for two players to be equal on both wins and points that the rules might have been changed years ago and we'd never have noticed. The last time it mattered appears to have been in 2009, when Kirk says it was conundrum spots that put Cate Henderson above Jimmy Gough in Series 60.

From memory, Colin said that the number of conundrums was tied as well, but I couldn't swear to it. I do think that number of conundrums got a mention, though, but I would also have said that my hypothetical highest would have been 1 more than Fiona's (not 5 more) so clearly my memory can't be fully relied on.

As for round 10, one of the contestants said "Gollies" so after a discussion it was reshot so that we both said "Glories".

Probably a sensible recut.
