Hello and welcome to another recap, today is international cat day.......... as you all know our recap writer is a huge cat lover and cat mummy to her two furbabies Callie and Freddie.................will today's show end in a big catfight or will our Champion and Challenger be purring their way to victory ? Let's enjoy some catfights and cats used in TV and film.

Image

Who doesn't like a bit of 1980s nostalgia...............a still from the popular US soap Dynasty one of many catfights between Krystle and Alexis........In a Lily pond

Image

Image

More 1980s nostalgia..........an alien catfight or a bitch fight from Diana and Lydia from the popular cult Science Fiction series V otherwise known as Dynasty in Space !

ImageImageImage

Here we go again..........Alexis in action........this time with the love of her life Dex Dexter.......enough of the catfights let's enjoy our feline friends on TV and film

Image

A still from one of my favourite films Witness that was released in 1985, Lukas Haas and my favourite actor Harrison Ford with some cute kitties

Image

One of the most successful series of the 2000s Bad Girls, a still from the 3rd season which is one of my favourite episodes a smiling Pam Jolley playing with the cute kitties that would melt anybodys heart

Image

The highly successful Lethal weapon franchise featuring the Murtagh family cat Burbank......before the Condom Advert in Lethal Weapon 2 this was the highest grossing film in the franchise and highest grossing 'R' Rated film

Image

Last but not least Batman's arch enemy Catwoman aka Selena Kyle she has been portrayed by many actresses Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt ( season 3 ) in the campy but silly TV series Batman, Lee Merriwether in the 1966 film Batman the Movie and Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns that became the 6th highest grossing film in 1992 taking over $260m at the box office.

Image

A real catfight ! Enough of that let's have some celebrity cat lovers !

ImageImage

British singer Peter Gabriel arguably one of the best songwriters in the world and his kitty way back in 1983, his 1986 album So is a massive fan favourite and a masterpiece. Many households have a copy of this even my late uncle and our recap writer

ImageImage

Here a couple of stills from the award winning video Sledgehammer peaking at No 4 in the UK charts and topping the US Billboard charts making this his only American No 1

ImageImage
What recap would not be complete with a tribute to Freddie Mercury singer/songwriter and former frontman of the British rock band Queen and the ultimate cat daddy himself as a tribute to the great man himself........I have named my cat after him

Image

American singer Taylor Swift with her feline friends

Image

American actress Drew Barrymore relaxing at home with her rescue cat. She made her film debut in the 1980 Science fiction horror Altered States. She shot to fame in the 1982 Steven Spielberg blockbuster E.T the Extra Terrestrial making it the highest grossing film in the same year taking $792.9M at the box office a total that stood for 11 years until it was surpassed by another Steven Spielberg Blockbuster Jurassic Park in 1993 taking $1.058 billion at the box office and making it the highest grossing film in the same year ........it is no 46 in the highest grossing films of all time.......... trust me you will need some tissues for E.T The Extra Terrestrial..........even I cry at this !

Image

American actor Robert Downey JR with his kitty cat, he is a leading man whose films have grossed over $14BN at the box office, mostly in the Marvel Comics franchise

OT: BUSTIAN (7) INABOUT (7) OBTAINS (7)
Score: 86–45 (max 125)

A very risky 8 from our champion Paul that is disallowed by Susie..........the damage is minor as our challenger gets to score with her 7 Bastion and DC spot the other 7 Obtains

Image

Image

Image

Round 15: S I C S C A R A T

No one buzzes. The answer was SARCASTIC.
Final Score: 93–45 (max 145)

Neither contestant spots the conundrum.........but it is left to a certain Rachel Riley and our recap writer to spot the elusive conundrum........another fine win from our champion Paul who improving by the day and is aiming to bag his first century.........but take nothing away from Kay she had some good spots but they weren't enough to match Paul........you can join me for any future recaps........in the meantine it is bye for now.
