Discuss anything that happened in recent games. This is the place to post any words you got that beat Dictionary Corner, or numbers games that evaded Rachel.
Didn't find it within the 30 seconds, so easy yet it evaded me. I knew I had to leave the "7" for the very end though...also, the programme got interrupted after the first TTT for a brief newsflash that Rishi Sunak is our new PM LOL
Countdown finally ditches 2-metre distancing in Dictionary Corner after 2 years; lexicographer and guest are now just 1 metre apart (commonplace in some TV shows these days) and the table is not symmetrical again.
Dave Gorman is a great guest. He is also a cryptic crossword setter for The Independent and The Telegraph and his crosswords are clever.
Studio lighting is noticeably shadowier that usual in this filming block.

Are they gonna ditch the wide distance between the players anytime soon?

I think recently they’ve changed the distancing a few times, but TBH since COVID it’s been less obvious anyway. They always make the players sit aside from the name plates due to angles of the table design, so that on camera the name plate looks like it’s directly in front of them.

I guess so, I just miss at the end the two people shaking hands to show their sportsmanship. I just hope they bring back the final ceremony like they did before COVID hit.
