Official Danielle Appreciation Thread

Post by Charlie Reams »

Anyone who has been on Countdown in the latter part of Series 59 will be familiar with their amazing unit manager Danielle. I thought I would take this opportunity to thank her for her endless helpfulness and cheerful disposition, and for generally making the whole experience much better. Also she makes a cracking cup of tea (so I've heard.) If you would like to "appreciate" her in whatever (family-friendly) way you feel appropriate, this is the thread in which to do it. Go!

She was on duty when we filmed the s58 finals, having recently taken over from Jay who was on when I filmed my heat shows in March. Considering she was new I thought she did a great job and I had a good laugh with her.I think the production team were quite impressed with her too.Glad to hear she's still there.

Danielle is like the pretty girl at school except she doesn't bully me and she's actually very lovely and helpful, and not a slag. Also she has nice hair and boots and she is pretty much the friendliest person in the whole wide world.

As Danielle was in place for the s58 finals, presumably she's been there for the whole of s59.
Nice try, Howard.

I think Howard pointed out elsewhere that it's virtually impossible for Debbie not to make the finals. It would need 6 six-time winners in 36 games to knock her out, and even then she would probably have been in the studio as a reserve.

You seem to have accidentally hit the t instead of the b.
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

I remember Danielle from my heat games in June, she was really friendly and looks after you. I had to go back after a break to film my fourth show and to my dismay I found out that she had only been covering for Jay the first time, which left me rather disappointed (Jay - sorry if you are reading this but you are not as nice to look at)

Quite right Charlie. And it's now only 33 games available to find 5 people to overtake her, which would take at least 30 of those games.

Of course, she would have been in the studios anyway, at least as a reserve, as there's no way that she can drop below 9th position.

So I quite agree - Debbi's post was no spoiler. :)

I can only repeat what's already been said. She was simply the loveliest person I met up in Leeds. It was a pleasure to follow her around all day.

Firstly, I'd just like to say thankyou to Charlie for creating this thread and finally giving people an appropriate outlet to express their appreciation for me. Only kidding, Charlie you're such a star and i'm definitely going to make you a stressless cup of tea next time I see you whether you like it or not! And for all the other people who have said such lovely things about me, thanks! It was so nice to read through all these posts and honestly it has been the biggest pleasure looking after all of you contestants. You are all fab. I'm going to go now before this turns into some kind of awards ceremony acceptance speech...
