Scrabble Consensus Game - Move 3
So C4C played LOOKER for 20, and as Craig predicted, Scrabble had fished for the G hook and posted a hefty 90 points for RETYING, extending its lead to 126 - 43. Next moves by 23:59 Wednesday please.

Now Quackle has turned over its tiles I can play again First thoughts are something like B1 HIVE (22) or B2 VEE (14). It would be nice to keep the I since the Q is proving such a milestone, but it's gonna be hard to score without using it.

12A HAKE leaps out, which is better than HIKE for obvious reasons, but HAE is more points and doesn't open up that TWS.

Opening up the bottom left TWS by playing HI(K)E/HA(K)E is a non-factor really.
I'll put forward HEVEA B1d for 26.

I am wondering about HEAVIER at G2 to dump 6, only scores 15 though.

I'm torn between HEVEA and HAE.

I wouldn't have risked HEVEA, due to the risk of a 9 timer.Craig Beevers wrote:Opening up the bottom left TWS by playing HI(K)E/HA(K)E is a non-factor really.
I'll put forward HEVEA B1d for 26.
But who am I to argue with the eighth best scrabble player in the world.

He's got a random rack remember, 7 fresh tiles. I would be worried about the 9-timer if he hadn't bonused in the past few turns.Marc Meakin wrote:I wouldn't have risked HEVEA, due to the risk of a 9 timer.Craig Beevers wrote:Opening up the bottom left TWS by playing HI(K)E/HA(K)E is a non-factor really.

Although an open board is in our favour I would still take the points for HAE.
