Re: Treasure Trivia Quiz
I'm proud to introduce the latest of a long line of quizzes I have constructed for the mutual entertainment of the forum. The latest quiz offering is probably the easiest one yet called "Treasure Trivia" .
The aim of the game is not only to give answers to a set number of questions but also to find them (the questions) . When there is no-one online, I am going to sneakily edit 20 of my previous posts (which are situated in the "Off-Topic" thread only) with a set question written in bold font. Each question will be multiple-choice and you must give me the letter between A-Z which you think the answer to that question is. To make it more difficult the 4 possible answers given are not A,B,C or D so there is no point in guessing if you can't find the question
Set out your answers in the usual list format shown below for example;
1. A
2. B
3. C
Generously, I am going to give you all the first question by posting it below in this thread. There are 20 questions to find and answer and I will award 3 bonus points to the first person who gives me a complete set of 20 answers with each letter to each question being one of the 4 potential answers that was given for that question.
An example question is;
What is the capital of Wales?
A. Cardiff G. London J. Glasgow Z. Belfast
Therefore, if you gave me the answer A,G,J or Z it suggests to me that you have found the question and attempted it without cheating. This must be done for all 20 questions. Of course, the correct answer is A. Cardiff which will get you 2 marks (1 for finding it and 1 for answering it).
Did you get that?
Okay, then good luck with the latest quiz and as i always say ,NO CHEATS please
Remember to give your answer as a letter between A-Z and NOT a word.
Question 1
Who won Saturday's Britain's Got Talent Final?
C. Andrew Johnston F. Signature I. George Sampson M. Faryl Smith

Re: Treasure Trivia Quiz
Just reading question 1 makes me realise that once again my main function here is to prop up the rest of you when the results are published.
But this time at least we get a point for every wrong answer.
So here goes:
1. I
2. N
3. X
4. M
5. A
6. O
7. H
8. X
9. B
10. L
11. K
12. O
13. E
14. H
15. K
16. X
17. W
18. R
19. B
20. F
About my usual proportion of guesses. I won't say just how many, but all of the musical ones are pure guesswork.

I'm going to edit one of my posts and put my answers in. If you find it, fair enough - otherwise I get full marks by default.

Re: Treasure Trivia Quiz
I'm glad you told us how many questions there were, and that they were numbered sequentially. You could've been really mean. As it was, they took some finding yesterday evening. Like Dinos, I got to the end of your posts, and found I was missing just one question - a different one from Dinos, though. So I had to start looking again. I can't believe how many posts you've made.
Thanks for the continued entertainment.

Its the last day for forumites to have a stab at this quiz. This has been the most disappointing quiz so far (in terms of people who have attempted it) .
So if you want to have a go, please do it quickly as answers will be revealed tomorrow.

You shouldn't be surprised at this though, Jason. It was a nice try to do something different, but frankly I couldn't even be arsed looking for the questions, never mind answering them. You've got to remember that we of the internet generation want INSTANT GRATIFICATION, with little or no effort involved.jasoncullen wrote:This has been the most disappointing quiz so far (in terms of people who have attempted it) .

I wasn't that surprised really . I knew this would be the most demanding quiz in terms of effort so far but I did expect slightly more than three people having a go. Oh well . What's REALLY annoying though is when people CAPITALISE words in their SENTENCES so as to try and put across a POINT that no one CARES ABOUT in the first place, not pointing any FINGERS here though...
Edit- just to clarify, I wasn't talking about Jim. Anyone who remembers some of the darker times from the old c4c- particularly some of the moderators- will know instantly who I'm on about here.

Re: Treasure Trivia Quiz
Here are the full classified answers for the latest quiz "Treasure Trivia". Unsurprisingly, this has been the worst quiz I have made (based on the level of attempts) but it is fully understandable as I probably couldn't be arsed doing a quiz which involves looking for questions let alone answering them myself . But a big thanks goes to Howard, Dinos and Joseph for taking part in this quiz and making it worthwhile for me producing it .
I've also decided not to use too much bold print because it has caused some bad feelings within the forum - all being completely unintentional - as my bold actions were not done to patronise anyone or cause offense and only done for the purpose of emphasising the points I was making and to make it easy for forumites to read. That's all
So please accept my humble apology and I'm hoping my next quiz will attract more interest than my latest drab quiz . The questions and the correct answer are written in bold print to make it easier to read for the forum - nothing more

It was an interesting idea for a quiz, just a bit too involved maybe?
At least I know I have come in the top 3, which normally don't happen on these quizzes . More importantly though, have I beaten Howard .
EDIT: Nevermind I know the answer and I quite surprised with the results .

Re: Treasure Trivia Quiz
Thanks for the quiz Jason. I certainly enjoyed it. And it gave me a chance to get a nice high rating. I guess I'd have been a lot lower had many more people taken part.
Looking forward to the next one now, but regrettably will probably not be able to take part as I'll be back in France once again when you're expecting to present it.
So really I'm looking forward to the one after next, if you can slip it in during the week I'm at home after France.
No you haven't. Which makes a big change.Joseph Bolas wrote: More importantly though, have I beaten Howard .
