Spoilers For Wednesday November 11th 2009
We're now halfway through the week. That amazing match yesterday between Ryan & Lesley has made me look forward to today's game with great interest. Hopefully, we'll have another cracking game.
Ryan just needs to win with a score of 133 to knock Bob off No.8 spot. That would be a shame, because Bob was unfortunate a few times on his run and now he might not even get to the quarters.
It was also interesting to see Kirk's scruffy looking twin in the audience yesterday getting that tricky conundrum.
Will he or his champion twin make another appearance today? Who knows (He does )

Yes it was. We had a nice chat with the Edinburgh Countdown Club afterwards.Derek Hazell wrote:Ooh, was that Series 13 (1987) semi-finalist Nita Marr?
DC beater in round 4 - SOLFEGE rears its head once again. Last R in that round would have given the sweet FILMGOERS.
I was pleased to get a max game today but most of the rounds were pretty standard stuff.
Edit: Had the lovely CARLISLE^ in round 1 too, and I don't mean Belinda.

Well recognised, Derek.Kirk Bevins wrote:Yes it was. We had a nice chat with the Edinburgh Countdown Club afterwards.Derek Hazell wrote:Ooh, was that Series 13 (1987) semi-finalist Nita Marr?
Because Nita already has a Countdown mug, having already appeared a few times, she's now using the mug she won at today's show as a prize in the twice monthly competition she runs in Edinbugh. She says she's letting the mug who comes last in the competition hold the Countdown mug.

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 11th of November 2009
It was good to catch Ryan picking his nose for all to see during round 8 - nice one mate.
Also in round 6, after the TOASTIES teatime teaser, popped TOASTIE. It reminded me of the MUTINEER teatime teaser and in the very next letters round MUTINEER reared its head.

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 11th of November 2009
That happened in my game. Both of us declared the word that had just been the teatime teaser, but I'd not taken any notice of the TTT as Des L was chatting me up! I think playing the TTT is something that comes when you're relaxed to say....pick your nose on screen?!

I can top this, at least in terms of aptness for the episode. I've seen Tim Vine do karaoke (It's Impossible by Perry Como).Sue Sanders wrote:I gave Tim Vine a lift to the station once.

No, this was when I saw him in a pub in Epsom. He lives near me.
