Countdown summer break

Post by Julie T »

I suppose that I could have PMd Damian about this, but thought that the answer would be informative for more people than me. 8-)

Countdown is missing from the Channel 4 schedules for the week commencing 27th July.
Please could someone let me know, if possible, how many weeks it will be off the schedule, and if there will be any repeats weeks?

I'm still catching up on 4OD, after my family holiday in June, but it'd be useful to know how long I've got to spread out watching episodes of my favourite show to avoid withdrawal symptoms. ;)

Ta muchly in advance. :)

Julie,

As you say, this coming week is the last week before Countdown's summer break. I've been to a few recordings in June, so by my calculations, Countdown will be off air for 4 weeks.

So, it will be back on August 24th.

I seriously doubt there will be any repeat weeks, but if Damian is reading this, he could tell us all.

Anyway Julie, if you are suffering from withdrawal symptoms, Thomas Wood has just put up my episodes of Countdown from when I was a bit younger on the Countdowngoofs channel on YouTube. ;) :) :D

Hope this helps :!:

P.S. If Damian is reading this, when are the recordings due to start again :?:

I think his photo makes him look more like Bradley from EastEnders.

I was thinking more along the lines of US journalist Anderson Cooper.

That's not a bad resemblance, I have to say, Chris.

Just needs to be a bit more gingery.

I thought it was Patrick Kielty - I'm never seen them together on tv.

I was offered early (7th ish) September (on holiday) and I'm sure they're booked up to 20th October (with me :D)

Ah, if you'd taken the 7th you could have played me instead!

Woohoo! Another good player successfully skirted :D At his rate I might get a teapot yet (watch out for upcoming score: Lesley Hines 12 - 87 Doris "is it my turn again, dear?" Smith (aged 92) ).

Very best of luck :)
