Worst Players

Post by JackHurst »

In response to the numerous topics based around the best coutndown players not to achieve something related to countdown, i thought i'd make a topic to discuss the worst player to achieve something on countdown.
Here's the categories

-Worst player to pass an audition and get on the show

-Worst player to win a teapot

-Worst player to get a century

-Worst player to qualify for series finals

-Worst Octochamp

-Worst seres champion.

and a miscellaneous one i'd like to add:
-Worst tactical players

When i go on im gonna try and get all of these accolades.

We do have a sort of unwritten rule that we don't slag the contestants. This would be less galling had you actually achieved anything on the show yourself rather than being an out-and-out patzer.

Sorry David, I didn't realise this was a serious thread.

Patzer is a good word though, had to look it up.

I've always been right behind you Charlie on that move.

Four large is the best pick at any time.

How about a best player version of this (Limiting to Series 59-61)

To not get a teapot : Allan Harmer
To not get a century : Paul Casimir
To not get to series finals : Chris Kirby
To get knocked out before final : Neil Zussman
Add your own

I thought that the 4 large was the bes possible pick in the circumstances.

Carol seemed a little annoyed as it wasnt the most nostalgic of numbers picks to go out on.

Sorry if this topic massively shit, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Guess Ill have to have a good read of those unwritten rules!

To not get a century : Paul Casimir / Jacqueline Baker
She got 112 in the first episode of series 61

You didn't realise this was a serious thread but you happened to give deadly serious answers to all the original questions?

And you've also evaded becoming 'Worst quoter of other posts' by finally getting one right!

Oh come on, I know that conundrum was quite easy but he wasn't bad for the other 14 rounds.

I agree with Douglas, how could she miss 176? I wonder how some of these low-scoring players ever get picked, are they that desperate for contestants?
(By the way, Barb- what's a CONSTINANT???)

I think she could have been a tad nervous - and if she had sat watching previous Andrew thrashings, it couldn't have helped.

It is my fear that i will crash and burn horribly if i pluck up the courage.

For a moment I thought that was being a bit harsh on Andrew. Then I read the other spoilers. Grr.
