Yep - nearly sent that one to you Matt but decided to go Off Topic and list my top 10 fave films instead. I have impeccable taste and it's only fair that I share my views.Matt Morrison wrote:In that case, here's a second numbers alternate just for you SueSue Sanders wrote:Just thee and me playing, I think, Matt!

Accents are fine, Sue. Also, I had DOLMEN as a beater too.Sue Sanders wrote:Hmmm. Even though it has an accent on the 'e'????Chris Kirby wrote:DC beater round eight... fitche.
The studio looked very bright today I thought. Even so, the challenger needed to work on his numbers (and his letters, only a 6 from RELATIONS? Did he take an audition?) and I managed to beat him 123-10 today, poor guy.

I managed to beat him 120-5. My biggest margin ever. Im guessing nerves must have completely damaged him . Well played Andrew!Kirk Bevins wrote:Accents are fine, Sue. Re: Spoilers & Comments, Monday 13/07/2009
I was quite surprised with the big whoop of "ooooooooh!" from the audience when Hulme declared 9 - I see RELATIONS as one of the easier 9s, and I don't recall them even slightly whooping at any of the much-harder-to-spot 9s that have come out this/last series. Most odd.Kirk Bevins wrote:the challenger needed to work on his numbers (and his letters, only a 6 from RELATIONS? Did he take an audition?)

I guess you keep your score as if 3 of you were playing then - recording it as how it would have been if you'd been playing either one of them. I only record a win if I beat both players, or a draw if I tie with the winning player so I'm doing myself a disservice really. However, I would count myself as one of the 'normal' players. Never been on Apterous, never seen/used any of these gadgets I've only heard about since being on this site. Actually, am I being an imposter even being here? Ta on the accents rule, btw. Didn't have to called Daymionne (sic) in on that one.

Not really a spoiler, but did anyone else notice the overhead cabling and the studio light halfway through round 12?
Pretty rubbish covering up by the cameras!

Are we Hulme-men or are we dancers?
Re: Spoilers & Comments, Monday 13/07/2009
Its the first time i have heard any propper audience reactions in a long while. Maybe since they thought it was a good idea to bring back the audience members guessing the conundrum at the end, they also thought it was good to make them act all shocked at hearing the word "Nine" or hearing the buzz of the conundrum in less then 2 seconds. Me and my friend found it quite funny.Matt Morrison wrote:I was quite surprised with the big whoop of "ooooooooh!" from the audience when Hulme declared 9 - I see RELATIONS as one of the easier 9s, and I don't recall them even slightly whooping at any of the much-harder-to-spot 9s that have come out this/last series. gauntest for a DC beater round 1
aproned for a contestant beater round 2
brazen for a contestant beater round 11
Another well deserved win for Andrew.
I beat the other guy 95 - 27 (I didn't spot any of the three nines in round 9)

Hmm. Gordon was a very nice bloke, just didn't really turn up on the day with a tricky-ish set of letters. Watching this back today, I missed no end of stuff. A win's a win tho.
