Great news everyone!
Anyway so I thought I would share this great news with everyone!
The other day I saw a sweetcorn. It was just like the sweetcorn you have in Britain! What is your favourite sweetcorn? I think this is the kind of thing we can all talk about. I must say, this is probably a coincidence, but if I see any of you in person, I would probably give you a sweetcorn. I usually have one about my person at all times. One time I didn't have one and I met someone and they had to leave without one. Of course we are not friends now.
The other thing is that I picked my nose and ate it. What do you all think about that?

Yeah, very funny Charlie. What do you do for an encore? Kick the crutches out from under cripples? Pick on someone who gets the joke or you're just a bully.

Maybe it's better if the subject of the joke (Jono) doesn't get the joke, so at least he won't get upset about it.David O'Donnell wrote: Pick on someone who gets the joke or you're just a bully.
At least me, you and Jason Larsen can have a laugh about this at Jono's expense, because we all understand it.

Sweetcorn? I think I can figure out what that is, but please keep this discussion nice. I don't want this thread to be locked because of this discussion being not so nice.
By the way, if you want to hear more about my situation, please talk to me privately.
I'm glad to hear that though, Charlie.

Did I mention my corn-on-the-cob observation - or cobservation, if you will - on the old group?
Would anyone like to hear it?

I would like to hear this cobservation, Jon, and if you have any other corn on the cob-related stories or anecdotes, I would very much like to hear those too.Corby wrote:Did I mention my corn-on-the-cob observation - or cobservation, if you will - on the old group?

Re: Great news everyone!
Okay. This is completely genuine as well, and I discovered it, so no plagiarism please. The only reason you haven't read about it in scientific journals is because I'm too lazy.jimbentley wrote:I would like to hear this cobservation, Jon, and if you have any other corn on the cob-related stories or anecdotes, I would very much like to hear those too.
Blokes eat corn-on-the-cob "typewriter" style (i.e. lengthways) whereas women eat corn-on-the-cob round and round in little strips. I first noticed this about 12 years ago at a BBQ, and it has held true ever since, with one exception which I'll expand upon in a moment. Obviously you can't tell people in advance that you are going to analyse their corn-on-the-cob eating habits, because they may alter their behaviour. Anyway, providing you silently observe, you should see this pattern hold true.
The one exception happened last year when a male work colleague was eating his corn the girly way. I had already noticed many camp mannerisms though, and later investigation confirmed that he was indeed a bufty.
I can't think of any other corn-related stories at the moment, but that should keep you enthralled for some time.

Re: Great news everyone!
However, my hunger for corn on the cob-related anecdotes is not yet satisfied.
Re: Great news everyone!
My last post was completely and utterly genuine. I really have been quietly watching people eat on corn-on-the-cob over the last 12 years, and it's bloody true.

I have sex with men and eat it like a typewriter (corn on the cob, that is).

I have only observed this phenomenon in sexually active adults, so that may explain the Jono discrepancy. As I understand it you are just finding your way as a sexually active adult, you're probably a little confused. Give it time, and you'll soon be eating your cob correctly.
As for Michael, you're just some kind of perverted sicko
When you say "datapoint", you presumably mean "erection"?

I once emailed Quron asking them why they didn't call their quorn cornish pasties Quornish pasties.
Although I suppose that's more of a cornwall story than a corn one.

Re: Great news everyone!
I notice in the Charlie Chaplin film Modern Times that he can be seen eating corn on the cob both up-and-down and round-and-round. Could it be that Mr Chaplin is, with Jim Jones and Clare Sudbery, one of the great bisexuals of the 20th Century?
Re: Great news everyone!
Only if he was eating corn without giving thought to the eating method. Given that this was a scene in a film, I'd find it unlikely - it may even have been in the script.Charlie Reams wrote:I notice in the Charlie Chaplin film Modern Times that he can be seen eating corn on the cob both up-and-down and round-and-round. He's actually being fed it by a machine, but he wrote the script himself and was happy to participate in the film, so I'm taking that as a tacit admission of homonefarietywankerness.Jon Corby wrote:Only if he was eating corn without giving thought to the eating method. What about someone who's only tried one once, nibbled around one end and then gave up because it tasted strange?
