Re: GOTW recommendations 8-14 March
Maybe not worthy of making the shortlist but I thought I'd throw this one into the mix because a) I beat the beast who is Chris Davies and 2) Round 13.

Re: GOTW recommendations 8-14 March
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?
Re: GOTW recommendations 8-14 March
Could someone nominate one of my games please?
Thanks.
Thanks.

A solid game which swung both ways. A bit like my Ipod.

Re: GOTW recommendations 8-14 March
It rather pales in comparison to some of what's gone before, but this was pretty cool just because we were level from round 3 to the end (and there's even a bonus conundrum for added funtime).

Getting closer and closer to that hypernumbers maximum...
Plus I beat the current record (Ben's 181 was done in 45-sec rounds).

If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum
Re: GOTW recommendations 8-14 March
Good one, quite a few records so far this week. A real man would go for 6 large though. Would be interesting to know roughly what proportion of 6 large games are actually solvable, the solution methods must be like the regular 4 large game on steroids.Matthew Green wrote:http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=34923

Like that, except for hypernumbers. I thought about blasting through some 2 second hypernumbers attacks to gather data, but wasn't sure if that was enough time for the solver to do its thing.Charlie Reams wrote:Like this, you mean?Paul Howe wrote:Good one, quite a few records so far this week. I can probably make that happen but yeah, the data is pretty sparse right now.Paul Howe wrote: Like that, except for hypernumbers. I thought about blasting through some 2 second hypernumbers attacks to gather data, but wasn't sure if that was enough time for the solver to do its thing.

I would recommend my game with Richard Brittain and this cracker from Steven and Richard.

Re: GOTW recommendations 8-14 March
I am surprised none of the 2-large games have been completely undoable, even though it's a toss-up between 2/6 and 3/5 for most optimal pick you'd have thought one of them would be crap.Charlie Reams wrote:Finally got round to doing this, took all of 5 minutes:Charlie Reams wrote:I can probably make that happen but yeah, the data is pretty sparse right now.Paul Howe wrote: Like that, except for hypernumbers.
