1 + 50/25 = 3
100 + 1 = 101
101 * 3 = 303
303 + 75 = 378

Well done for finding a solution, I could only get 376 so was quite pleased with that .Craig Beevers wrote:1 + 50/25 = 3

I did it multiplying 126 * 3 so not only is it not impossible there is more than one way!

Theres probably not that many solutions though, so to some, it can seem impossible.David O'Donnell wrote:I did it multiplying 126 * 3 so not only is it not impossible there is more than one way!

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Yeah, I saw DERAILING a few seconds after I declared danglier. Went blank on two numbers games and made some silly mistakes/misses. But I didn't set out to be a multichamp - I was happy to just to win one. And I was glad I lost to someone as pleasant as Andrew.

Not only pleasant but he looks like a really good player, bad luck Joe. I think you would have been more than a match for the average contestant.Joe Denniss wrote:Yeah, I saw DERAILING a few seconds after I declared danglier. Most people would be happy with just the one win indeed, so a very well done to you Joe for winning your debut.Joe Denniss wrote:Yeah, I saw DERAILING a few seconds after I declared danglier. I was amused by Susie's suggestion that you would find a DRAGLINE on a building site - I think they are a bit too large for the average building site.
Also there were DOZENS of 6s in R12

I know it ruins your laudable wordplay effort but there were only half a dozen!rayfolwell wrote:I was amused by Susie's suggestion that you would find a DRAGLINE on a building site - I think they are a bit too large for the average building site.

Shit, bad luck Joe
None of us saw that coming, really unlucky to come up against such a strong opponent in only your second game.

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 18th March
When the game started I thought it was a pity that two interesting youngsters were pitted against each other, when for weeks you can get a succession of boring middle aged six-hitters.
My home is on the south side,
High up on a ridge,
Just a half a mile from
The Scarborough Valley bridge.

Really bad luck Joe. Are you a love child of Graham Le Saux, by the way?Joe Denniss wrote:Yeah, I saw DERAILING a few seconds after I declared danglier. Console yourself with the fact that at your age (14) I couldn't grow sideburns, so congratulations on that

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 18th March
Just wanted to add my congratulations to Joe on what I thought were 2 games played to a very high standard, only the pressure in the final third of his 2nd game leading to a dip in performance.
I must say, like others have noted, that I thought your ability looked worthy of a final 8 placing and I'll be very surprised if the new champion doesn't go on to have 8 wins and what could be a #2 seeding. On the other hand you never know who is waiting in the wings....
