Well, likely it's both. You wouldn't randomly name just some nerve your funny bone just because it relates to the word "humerus". It was obviously the ulnar nerve rather than some other local part of the anatomy that got chosen because of the "funny" feeling. This name is thought to be a pun, based on the sound resemblance between the name of the bone of the upper arm, the humerus, and the word "humorous". Alternatively, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, it may refer to "the peculiar sensation experienced when it is struck".

DC got HUMERAL in round 7, and Susie said that it means relating to the humerus, which is another name for the funny bone. But it isn't. The funny bone isn't a bone. It's the ulnar nerve on your elbow that feels "funny" when you hit it. Well, according to Wikipedia:

Remember when William G. Stewart used to respond to letters that proved his statements inaccurate or when he admitted to mistakes? Countdown should do the same. Why does Susie sometimes give incorrect or inaccurate information?
She’s right about humeral meaning relating to the humerus, but the humerus is just a bone in the arm and not the “funny bone” which is actually a nerve. “Funny bone” is one of those misnomers like “Indian ink.”
Definition of humerus in Oxford Dictionaries Premium is a follows:
1 Anatomy
The bone of the upper arm or forelimb, forming joints at the shoulder and the elbow.
Example sentences
1.1 Entomology
The structure forming the front basal corner of an insect's wing or wing case.
Funny bone is separate:
funny bone
Pronunciation: /ˈfʌni bəʊn/
NOUN
INFORMAL

The part of the elbow over which passes the ulnar nerve, which may cause numbness and pain along the forearm and hand if knocked:
she banged her funny bone on the doorpost
More example sentences

A person's sense of humour, as located in an imaginary physical organ:
photographs to jostle the mind and the funny bone
So yeah, not quite accurate.
