Hello Countdowners and welcome to another recap...........oh wait this is no ordinary recap.........it is Countdown finals week. 124 Contestants have graced the Countdown studios..........you heard it first........ we are now down to the last eight............which one of these wonderful legends will be walking away with the bragging rights of Series 91 and the Richard Whiteley memorial trophy ? Another fine round for Mr Jones who is racking up his points nicely...........the first lead could be the most important in this quarter final..........sadly not for Michael Susie disallows his 7 at it is specified as Hurleys.......... a few more 7s to be had..........let's jump ahead to the next round !

Not the easiest of 6S our top seed Rhys does well to get one away and bag himself 7 points and extends his lead by 14 points..........but Rachel gets to show off and a produce a perfect 10 involving the 4 times table

What a great contest this has been firstly congratulations to Rhys for making into the semi-finals where he will play winner of Christine Smith or Amy Berry will that is coming to our screens on Tuesday. Secondly commerisations to Michael who had the last laugh by solving the conundrum. Making into the Countdown finals is an achievement in its self, Michael can hold his head up with pride and be proud of his achievements as a Countdown finalist. You can join me for the next recap as the second quarter final gets underway tomorrow in the meantime folks it is bye for now !
