People who give the middle finger wrong. The correct way is to have a closed fist and then raise the middle finger. The wrong way is only curling the knuckles of the other fingers and you thumb sticking out.

I've literally never thought about this. I think I have my thumb on the outside actually now trying it out. I think it's slightly more uncomfortable with your thumb locked inside. Maybe slightly more strain on the tendon on the inside of your wrist or something.

Overruled.

I think you are misunderstanding. I don't mean locking your thumb inside your fist. I mean having your thumb literally pointing outwards. Hopefully the link below works to show what I mean.

As long as you stir it afterwards.
I used Tom makke ribena milkshakes that way too.
Before I got a fancy coffee machine I used to make instant coffee by adding it to the boiled water mainly because the optimum temperature for coffee is around 92 C and pouring boiling water on coffee burns it slightly
But i always add boiling water to a teabag

When at leisure, I put the squash in first and then the water, like a normal person. However, when there's a queue behind me at the office for the taps, I go mixologist style with the water and the squash being poured simultaneously so as to save a few seconds. It's pretty mad, I know!

Anyone who writes/participates in the articles that have the caption "I bought my own house at 22 whilst working at Asda. Here's how you can do the same!"

Two lines in: "Michael got a gift of £100,000 from his parents to help towards getting his house, but it was definitely the working part-time in a minimum wage summer job that enabled him to make this financial commitment"

If Michael's parents give me 100 grand I could do the same too 😊

This is very much one for runners - People who do an e.g. 10 km race and because their GPS watch measures it as 10.05 km or something they put in their Strava description in addition to their race time of e.g. 50:07 that their 10k time was 49:50. No it wasn't. I trust the track measurement far more than your GPS watch to measure the race distance. It's completely irrelevant and counts for nothing the time your watch thinks you took to run 10 km. Someone did this at parkrun yesterday. They got 19:54 but claimed a 5k of 19:36. Sorry but no.

I think the most egregious cases are when people go to a track and run a set distance and put their time but still use their watch to measure the distance rather than the lines on the track! Someone I know claimed a sub 5-minute mile. Nice. Except that I had a look at the Strava trace and he did not run a mile. He just started running and stopped when his watch said he'd done a mile. Absolute maniac.

People who think a film is crap because it "isn't the same as the book". You are watching a film, not watching a documentary of a book.

"Crap" might be an overreaction, but when you watch a film that is based on a book but with loads of detail left out, it can come across as a bit lesser.

People who quote themselves on social media. The top line is usually some non sequitur like "It's a good point" or "Never thought about it this way" and then they're quoting themselves.
