Re: Alex Rivers
I exposed him as a paedophile and he fucked off back to his bedsit.
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

Re: Alex Rivers
According to his youTube website ,http://www.youtube.com/SpiritmanProductions Alec was planning to do some travelling. He hasn't posted there for 2 months either. (must have gone somewhere completely off the radar)

Re: Alex Rivers
I am possibly one of the few who are concerned. OK so I don't know him well but he did me a youtube clip of my experience on Countdown and then I met him at Co:Lin and he was very pleasant and someone who I could speak to easily. I sent him a message through facebook about a week ago, basically asking him if he was OK, and I haven't got a reply yet. His page is completely inactive. Most recent facebook statuses:
Alec Rivers: "is seriously considering jumping on a plane and sodding off somewhere."
Alec Rivers: "It's a depression thing. 'Nuff said."
Ryan Taylor: ":( Everybody suffers from depression (that is my theory)"
Alec Rivers: "Re your theory: There is normal feeling-shit-about-a-few-things depression and then there is clinical depression which is a biological condition. No matter what sufferers do, the condition severely brings them down."
His last status update: Alec Rivers: On my travels soon!
Sorry Alec if you did not wish this information sharing, but every person who has a Facebook account must not care too much for privacy.

I don't think there's any problem sharing that, Ryan. It's all very public, and I, for one, had seen them all.Ryan Taylor wrote:Sorry Alec if you did not wish this information sharing, but every person who has a Facebook account must not care too much for privacy.

"Not really" to what? I can't imagine you are suggesting everyone with depression just cheers up a bit?Michael Wallace wrote:Yeah, not really.Ryan Taylor wrote:Alec Rivers: "Re your theory: There is normal feeling-shit-about-a-few-things depression and then there is clinical depression which is a biological condition."

Re: Alex Rivers
I think he is actually referring to the argument that depression, as a clinical condition, actually has been shown to have a biological origin or it could be a reference to anti-psychiatry, qua Foucault, which complicates our understanding of binaristic distinctions between sane and insane.Matt Morrison wrote:"Not really" to what? PS Actually, I have said actually a lot which means I am pissed, actually.

Re: Alex Rivers
Maybe he's just waiting for someone to call him Alec.
Lowering the averages since 2009
Re: Alex Rivers
Unfortunately, not far from the truth:
This disappearance in 2010 likely coincides with his first jail term.

Almost certainly. His c4c profile shows his age to be 50 matching the 49 when the article was written, and Cheriton is a suburb of Folkestone.

Another convicted ex-apterite, who was playing children during his time here in 2010.

Another member of the rogues gallery.
To be honest though, out of many thousand former Countdown winners, we haven't had that many evil bastards.
