Apterites disqualified for 'being too good'.

It has been revealed that a number of apterites due to appear on the next series of Countdown have been disqualified, as the site has rendered them too good at the game and means they breach the new 'fair play' rules introduced recently.
Following the domination of apterites in the last few years, bosses have finally had enough and have disqualified all players found to have reached a level of skill which would make it unfair for other players coming on the show.
It's not clear which players this will affect or indeed what is considered to be too good, but it might be worth bearing in mind for all players considering applying.

For those saying it was premature, it was actually posted after midnight, but because of the clock having not been reset following the clocks going forward, it's come up as 31st March.

I do believe bosses have now backed down and reinstated all contestants, except for one particularly bad one, a lady called April Fool I believe.

When you say "due to appear", do you mean they had actually been offered a place? I would have thought that once someone's secured a place on the show they can't take it back.
