Spoilers for Thursday August 28th 2014 (S71 P35)
David Stanford is up to two wins, and is on a quest for a third, which that alone would put him at number 5 on the board. Today could David's toughest test though, as apterite Callum Pickering is going to try to take his shot at a teapot. Remember how the last apterite named Callum did, so it'll be interesting to see how this one plays and how the game goes.

Third numbers - oh dear - I had a alternate route to 750 by making 800 and subtracting 50 that Callum could have used.

Very unlucky there, Callum. Hopefully you will get another chance in the future.

Re: Spoilers for Thursday August 28th 2014 (S71 P35)
In round 12 I was thinking the selection was similar to one in my second show when I incorrectly said DUMPED
but then the second D appeared this time so DUMPED was fine!
Alt last numbers (50-7+3)x10-25
Callum is still playing online and at events so glad his TV experience didn't put him off the game for life.

Both lost under frustrating circumstances it seems.Jordan F wrote:Remember how the last apterite named Callum did
If Nick had asked Callum to give his solution first (which, as has been said before, is surely how it ought to be done), then he would presumably have got away with his mistake and won the game.

It was a shame Callum was so nervous. He is one of the few people I have played online and seemed very strong. When I saw it was him today I fully expected him to win.

Yes, but it was David's numbers, so Nick followed what he normally does, but Callum was super unlucky for that and his horrific start, which was clearly nerves aplenty there.Fred Mumford wrote:If Nick had asked Callum to give his solution first (which, as has been said before, is surely how it ought to be done), then he would presumably have got away with his mistake and won the game.

I made it 9 maxes for Callum - unfortunately he failed to score at all in any of the other rounds.

Saw this thread and thought I'd reply to a couple of things- Tony, yes I was nervous and I did see an alternative method but sadly too late.
JR, I know there's no malice, but you could have been a BIT more tactful than to say "horrific" heh.
Jojo, cheers.
Another day I'd have won but I know I'll get another chance and there's more to life than Countdown anyway. I enjoyed the experience
