CO-Event Survey
Hi everyone,
Hope you've had a fantastic Christmas.
I think it's fair to say Countdown has had a fabulous 2013 on and off screen, and the Co-event scene has expanded with more people organising and attending events, with new formats and locations springing up all the time.
With that, Jeff and I thought it would be good to take the time to understand what people like and don't like about events, what you want from them, and maybe what we could do to change them.
So, we've compiled a little survey for you to have your say, by clicking here.
There are 10 questions altogether, some are tickbox exercises and others we would welcome your creative input on. So, over to you, and feel free to share the link with your friends and other people who might be interested.
Thanks - and see you next year!

Are you planning on sharing the results after a while?

Ah good. I was slightly concerned that you were using this to build your evil underhanded empire

Unfortunately, Jeff is a hard man to reach thanks to his new job, but rest assured, we should hopefully be able to give you your answers by the end of the week.Anthony Endsor wrote:And still the world awaits..............

Re: CO-Event Survey
Well, we did reveal some of the results of our survey in our little leaflet we gave out at CO:REA, but I have clearly neglected to put them on here to follow up.
I'll sort this out shortly.

Re: CO-Event Survey
That question about the cost. Surely it's the total cost. I don't care about the breakdown.

Re: CO-Event Survey
"Where would you and would you not be prepared to travel to?" potentially a "FFS" of a phrasing but I guess for example that "Central England - 78%" means 78% would be prepared to travel to and 22% wouldn't?Jon Corby wrote:"Which format do you prefer?" "Both" FFS

Re: CO-Event Survey
I get exactly what you are saying but you're truly an excellent man if you can see things that way.Gavin Chipper wrote:That question about the cost. Surely it's the total cost. I don't care about the breakdown.
I think people still typically judge each separate element rather than the overall event. We're small-pictured and immediate like that.
What about that time when you paid £4000 for last-minute train tickets? We were all on ridiculously cheap advance tickets but I doubt that meant any of us would have paid £3980 for Colin entry and nor did you refuse to take part and sleep outside the train station for two days.

Re: CO-Event Survey
Well yes, but I also think that because people are answering in the abstract they're more likely to give an in-the-abstract answer. And the question of just "Is the cost of this important to you?" is pretty meaningless. If someone says no to one of them, does that man they'll pay anything? Sure, I'd happily pay £4000 for a train ticket, but never £4000.01.Matt Morrison wrote:I get exactly what you are saying but you're truly an excellent man if you can see things that way.Gavin Chipper wrote:That question about the cost.
