So, the mash-up of
8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown has now been turned into a 4-episode series, following the success of the 4 stand-alone episodes.
The first of these episodes is tonight and it features Sean Lock & Jason Manford vs. Jon Richardson & Rhod Gilbert, with Danny Dyer in DC, and Joe Wilkinson helping our Rach as normal.
Join Jack for the recap later.

Teasers provided in the sponsorship bits? Wherever did you hear of such a thing?

Interesting to see what the answer to the 3rd TTT will be, considering that the solver says there is no 8 from ARSEPROD...........

That's why I couldn't get it?
Confirmed from the ODE3 that it is invalid.

Are the Teatime Teasers bound by the same dictionary as the actual game? There's a discussion point for you.

This show is far worse than 8/10 Cats and far far far worse than Countdown.
Mike Brown : "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U
C1: SIGNATURE (18)
["9; not written down"]
C2: SEATING (7)
Score: 108–16 (max 113)
Another niner for Adam and yet another century. Well done, that man."

I thought this was very good, although some of the jokes seemed a bit familiar (like watching Shooting Stars week after week).
My wife loved the cats on the desk.
I don't know who the bloke in DC was but I hope he doesn't feature in the whole series!
I'd love to see John Richardson play a real game of Countdown - I think he'd do well!
Loved Rachel's joke about the contestants being as good as regular Countdown finalists ... are at Comedy - lol

That was Danny Dyer, who by calling him an actor is almost laughable, but luckily they have a different guest in each week for this.
It's comedian Nick Helm this week, and then the American Rich Hall next week.

These will be better dictionary corner guests - I'm especially looking forward to Rich Hall but neither of them will be as good as Henning Wehn.
