So, we now enter Tuesday and we still have Michelle as the champion, after another close call yesterday. She now has half-octochamp status, and currently 4th place on the standings. How much further up the ladder can she climb
My internal sources tell me that Apterite Andy McGurn is today's challenger, so how will she handle the firepower of an Apterite....

So did Jeffery Hansford, according to the reliable source of the Countdown Wiki.
I didn't watch Countdown back then. It's in the contestant guidelines that you shouldn't say "please" too often. I think when I was on I just said "please" before the first and last letter, and maybe once in between.
ISOPACHS was a nice equaller in round 12. I thought Andy made an impressive debut there. Well done. Although, you are responsible for Michelle going, which will probably make some of us .
Thanks Joseph, Dan, Josh and Edward for the nice comments. I did wonder if knocking out Michelle might upset her many fans, but she did great to win 4 and I guess the advantage of being an apterite was the difference.

Ed, do you realise that should Michelle (currently no 6 seed) finish as no 7 seed and you remain no 2 seed, you'll have to do the same in order to progress to the semi-finals? How would you live with yourself?

Maybe I will deliberately lose to her to avoid the guilt
