Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 7 April 2021 (Series 83, Preliminary 68)
Well kudos to anyone who goes on the show obviously, but David Green made errors in eight rounds. Is that the record?

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 25th November 2020 (Series 82, Prelim 165)
This Leo chap is very good- feel as Martyn will unfortunately be restricted to #9 as a result, given that Leo seems a shoe-in octochamp. Leo's a capable player, but I think Martyn would have beaten him four times out of five. I've beaten him a couple of times and I'm not that good. I can't say how ...

Well I don't know how far in advance the conundrums are chosen, but BRIGANDRY was a toughie, especially against two new contestants!

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 21st October 2020 (Series 82, Prelim 140)
Given all the references made by Jay Rayner, it would have been nice if the final vowel in round 12 after a pick of RODPUFSE had been an O instead of an I.

Studio audience
Watching Countdown since it recommenced, the studio audience doesn't sound any smaller. Does anyone know whether or not it is dubbed on? It would seem like a strange thing to do, but they do still try and con us into believing it goes out live, after all...

Easy numbers rounds
I was just wondering if anyone had offered a complicated solution for an easy numbers round as a joke and then gone and got it wrong?

Zarte's awesome obviously, but has anyone else ever scored with a three letter word declaration? If so, I suspect it wouldn't be someone with a near-perfect record of century game scores!

Most 9s/Highest losing score
I dare say a few of you will know this, but what has been the highest number of nine letter words available ( not necessarily spotted) in the nine and fifteen round shows? Also who are the highest scoring losers in both the nine and fifteen round shows and what did they score?

Re: Who Will Win Series 75? -- Caution: Possible Spoilers
Well after today's performance, I'd have to back Andrew MacLeod to win. The field isn't that strong. They probably play better than I would (I don't want to be on TV), but they don't compare to Tournoff/Gallen and their ilk.

Also, I'd be interested to know how many times the conundrum scramble has been a valid word (eg VALIDATES (SALIVATED) recently).

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 1st November 2016
Graeme doesn't seem to be answering questions on the forum anymore, but I'd be interested to know what the record is for the number of times a player has failed to score because their word isn't valid or they've got the numbers round wrong. Yesterday's show was a bit cringeworthy...

Hi Graeme,
How many times has the conundrum scramble been a valid word (eg. VALIDATES (SALIVATED) on 26/10/16)?

Thanks for the reply, Thomas. I note that Michael Smith got the conundrum though which makes Ross Lough more unique (if you can be more unique...)
Sorry about the triplicate posting; I very rarely post and had forgotten the procedure.

Re: Ask Graeme?
Hi Graeme,
I'm interested to know if episode 6234 is the first time in the 15 round format, that a contestant (Ross Lough) has failed to score in any of the letters rounds.
Thanks,
Peter

On 10 July, the same numbers game target (831) came up twice in a row. Has this ever happened before?

Sorry, I don't Know how to post screenshots, but in a game against Christopher Smith just now; from a selection of SNATRNUEI, Jean-Luc Picard informed us that he was travelling at Warp Factor 9 and found SATURNINE!

Re: Bug reports
In my game of Goatdown against Ian Dent (6/5 2316) in Round 5, the selection was SXFLIEOSL. DC found SEXFOILS and then suggested picking a B - also for SEXFOILS. I'm guessing this is because there are no other 8s possible - or is there a bug?
