Two new contestants will grace our stages. And unless one of the contestants is someone I don't know of, this will be the first game since July 22nd where at least one of the two players is not an apterite, for a total of 29 prelims. Stats people (aka Graeme): Is this the longest consecutive streak of apterites?

Join James for the recap later.

Haven't got my dictionary to hand, as I somehow lost it while moving house, and Lexplorer is down. But I seem to remember LOBULATE isn't valid, and only LOBULATED was. Confirm or deny, someone?

LOBULAR, LOBULATE and LOBULATED are all adjectives according to my OED3.

EGOTIST as an alt 7 to TOOTSIE
Also easier last numbers (10+6)*8 = 128.

Having only missed LOBULATE, before the conundrum, I was hoping to make a studio max, but took about three
minutes to see SIMPLETON, having first thought it was spoilment and then pistolmen, neither of which are valid.

TOWAI there as an alt to PATIO and GRIPPED to PODGIER.

Yup, the only other 7, along with EGOTIST above. :)

3rd Numbers Alt.: ((25 x 5) + 8) x 2 = 266

Anyone also notice the updated clock today :?: :?: Graeme had been mentioning it a bit beforehand. 8-)

First day of the new clock today, although not mentioned on screen. The lights take up more of the clock face and the hand seems bluer and slightly longer. It has a reverse motor and LED lights rather than traditional bulbs apparently. Goodbye to the old clock which kept time for 31 years from the Calendar Countdown pilot (before it was given a second hand) until yesterday. It was probably used about 75,000 times throughout that time on screen.

Isn't Natalie Corriette an apterite, so the record run of apterites continues?
