So, we're now into the final phases of the prelims of Series 68, with just 4 games to go before the finals start on Friday. :)

That of course means that our current champion, Glen Webb, could be forced to transfer to Series 69, if he wins all 4 games this week.

But if he happens to lose any time this week, a finals place would be pretty much guaranteed thanks to the 338 points he has already accrued.

In DC for his début this week is TV historian, Dan Snow.

Graeme will be recapping for us later on. ;) :) :D

Question for James as king of the stats, at 1.98 m is Dan the tallest ever DC guest?

Alt of BEIGNETS in R13.

Glen has survived the early morning program, so hopefully he will get all his numbers next time and increase his average.

I too relaxed after seeing PTOMAINE in R2 and missed the 9. Also missed all of the 8s, also missed by DC, in R1.

Well done Glen - noticed he lost to Gareth Williams last time round. I still see Gareth at the odd Scrabble tournament.

But have not been too attentive today because the French DCDL are playing their Championships at the moment and it was their second semi final today and a very intense and edge of seat affair between Benoit and Marvin. A ten letter REPLETIVES spot by Benoit brought him level but only got ten point for using all the letters! Strange :-o

For those interested Benoit failed to overcome a 79-86 deficit failing to spot the second Sprint Finale conundrum PENENOUREE (EUROPEENNE) after Marvin solved the first Sprint Finale conundrum ESSUCCRAAD (CASCADEURS). Marvin plays Bruno in tomorrow's final. Bruno won his semi final 107-98.

SUBLATED in round 1. Good performance again Glen, building up a very nice total.

Well, Mark Foster is also that height, so certainly not on his own. :geek: :ugeek: Certainly no-one else I can think of at the moment. :)

SECONDI in round 7, ODONATE/TANGOED in round 10.
