It'll be different... but yeah, why not?Jennifer Steadman wrote:WE ARE SO OVER!Adam Gillard wrote:Rob is the prospective contestant I've most looked forward to seeing on the show.
Zarte, fancy getting hitched?
Jen, you've misunderstood me - Rob has been on apterous since 2009, so I've most (i.e., longest) looked forward to seeing him on Countdown. Of course I eagerly await your TV appearance(s) too!Jennifer Steadman wrote:WE ARE SO OVER!Adam Gillard wrote:Rob is the prospective contestant I've most looked forward to seeing on the show.

Wow, that was smooth. I'm not even being sarcastic, I've not even seen oil that slick...Adam Gillard wrote:Jen, you've misunderstood me - Rob has been on apterous since 2009, so I've most (i.e., longest) looked forward to seeing him on Countdown. I asked at the finals and he mentioned how he was now at uni and very busy with that. Said he wouldn't be appearing too soon.Andy Platt wrote:Anyone know what's up with Rob? He hasn't played since the 12th Feb
Very strong letters & conundrum player, he'd be up there and challenging for any given series.
He's signed up for the Masters so should be around again soon. He'd definitely be near or at the top of my 'list of players who should get their arse on the show', closely followed by Matt Bayfield. Both are co-event winners so they really have no excuse other than 'I can't be arsed'.Andy Platt wrote:Anyone know what's up with Rob? He hasn't played since the 12th Feb

Is also a good excuse, I suppose.Eoin Monaghan wrote:I asked at the finals and he mentioned how he was now at uni and very busy with that. Said he wouldn't be appearing too soon.
Not ironic, just a bit thick on my part... Title edited!Andy Platt wrote:Well that's an ironic question but I'll presume you mean "players" not "contestants"
If you look here real quick you will see a good indicator.
So, we're looking at people like Dylan Taylor, James Nguyen, Kevin Stoba, Giles Hutchings, Jen Steadman, Josh Hurst, etc, (but not me cos I'm crap) as the best players who haven't been on TV. You can also see they are of a similar standard to some previous series' semi-finalists/finalists/winners.
