So, we're heading into the final stages of Countdown for this series and for 2012 too, but this week is going to be a curtailed week, with just 4 episodes, thanks to Channel 4 Racing on Friday for some "important" meeting or other.

So, we're going to be denied an octochamp crowning ceremony due to the lack of episodes, but based on her good form, Heather Styles could be in prime position to become the series' 6th octochamp in a week's time. But can she at least make it to half-octochampdom status today

Making her DC debut this week is the woman who asked the question that the BBC had long asked........., not "how incompetent a Director-General do you have to be before you resign?", but "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?", as it's the winner of that said contest, Connie Fisher.

In ODE3 it has it's own "see MEDEVAC" entry and it's a verb too.

No, Mark Nyman was very young when he was "brought in" as a DC guest in Series 4. He was actually only 17 when he was in DC, so he smashed Connie's age of 29.

lol. BTW is great watching someone I feel I know on countdown. You have to be the politest contestant ever, getting up to shake hands with the other contestant at the end of each show. Will be rooting for you the rest of the series.

How did they miss ADVICE in round 3, only offering 5s, then spot it later?

TENTORIA alternative in R4, COTTISE in R8, and other people have already offered MEDIVACS and WOODSIA
