As a 60+ person, I have seen a fair amount of the BBC in my time but never him. Perhaps he got interviewed in 1988 or thereabouts about some obscure item and has now put it in his CV that he has been on the BBC. As previous host Des Lynam once said on Countdown.. "Americans, you can't trust them" (you excepted Jason)

For some reason, the note that Rich has announced on the BBC on his official website has been deleted. I really don't think he did much for them.

However. "The Price is Right" here in America does have some UK ties.

First of all, the host here in America should look familiar to you if you have watched Channel 5 US at noon.

(Hint: He says everything is made up and points don't matter.)

Drew Carey was on the US version of "Whose Line is it Anyway?"

Also, ironically, the man who composed the music for the show is the same person who composed the theme when Bruce Forsyth was the host in England. His name is Edd Kalehoff. He definitely made up for the terrible saxophone arrangement used on Bruce's version.

Believe it or not, Drew Carey has had two UK-born contestants on the show. He actually took over for the former host when he retired, and one of them was on the very first episode he ever taped.

Could it be that some British people have seen the US version of "Whose Line is it Anyway" and love Drew that much?

I just thought I would mention these things.

Drew Carey is a black hole for humour.

The other people on WLIIA US are an entirely different matter.

The UK version was better, not least in terms of hosts.

Well, not many of you must like sarcastic humor, then.

If you could see our original Price is Right host, Bob Barker, you would notice there is a big difference between him and Drew.

However, the people at CBS, the network that airs the Price is Right here, wanted someone different because they didn't want anyone to miss Bob.

Sarcastic humour's great if it's done well, but Drew Carey is crap at it.

And I used to watch The Price is Right in the UK out of desperation during holidays (Bruce Forsythe has a funny face and some lethal puns), but no amount of desperation could entice me to watch the US version.

Maybe if I showed you a few clips of Bob Barker, that would change your mind.
