Baljeet Nijjhar has 3 wins under her belt, and while I don't know how things will play out for sure, she will likely need at least one more to be a possible finalist. Will she get it? She beat one apterite yesterday in Tom Sharp, but she'll have to face another today in Paul James. We'll see how that plays out. It's the end of Tim Vine for now, and I congratulate Tim on being the best guest of the series so far.
Join Thomas for the recap later.

Well done Paul, 105 against someone like Baljeet is impressive, good conundrum spot too. Shame the disection gamble cost you something possibly in the 110s.

Let's hope Paul can cope with the early morning after the night before.
FRAPPED as an alt to PARADES etc in R11 and MEDIACY in R12 (though I tried mediancy).

Matched Paul for the whole game, and shouted the conundrum out before he buzzed, so I make that 105-95
And obviously 105-83 against Baljeet
(I need to get a life)

My loyalties were divided today, because Baljeet was a very good player (and modest, too) but Paul is one of ours, so well done on a great win.

Great debut, Paul. It was a shame about the nine but 105 is a great score. Looking forward to seeing you hopefully win a few more.
