I did (75x5+25)x2+9+7 but alas not within the time. I enjoyed today's game with two thoroughly likeable characters. Carol was all over the place though trying to be all cute in front of Kai, suggesting words which might have come up like JUNIOR and LEOTARD and picking vowels when asked for consonants!

Oh and I got NOCTURNE and beat the heck out of little Kai with the aid of MOLESTER.

At least now Mr.Bevins knows he is not alone in being tormented by the kids at school over Countdown. :)

Yes I noticed that. James, the challenger, was a bit shocked at one point!

And yes, Mr Priest, nearly the whole school now know about me and Countdown and say I'm on wikipedia (which is slightly untrue) but I did feel for James today, he really is gonna have the mickey taken out of him, being beaten by an 11 year old!

Children have an entirely different definition of the truth. If it's repeated enough times it is automatically true, why let reality get in the way of a decent story.

R7 not a maxima but DETOXES (7) kind of reminds me of someone.

Also R5 another alternative, chasing the 11 * 75 to it's natural conclusion.

( 25 - ( 7 * 2 ) ) * 75 - 9

Really well done to Kai, he seems a v likeable and confident young man - he'll go far. He beat me with GRAPHIC as well (and I missed FLAVONE)

He beat me with graphic, but overall I was 27 points ahead by the conundrum (which he beat me on  )

I know this is ancient history now but I have only been a member for a couple of days. This was the day I
last beat Carol on the numbers. It was the 816 total.75.25.2.9.7.5.I know others have done it but I havn,t
seen my method on the site.9-2=7 75-7=68 7+5=12 multiply by 68=816
I also got graphic so all in all it was one of my better efforts.
