Yet another week of Countdown is about to begin, and we're also at the end of the month too, so you can tell that this series is approaching its conclusion, although that's probably due to the fact that the series finals are being recorded in the studios this week.

Right, for all of us in TV-land, the current champ is Nick Hall, who after beating my beloved Kerry-Anne on Thursday, swept aside another Apterite in Danny Morton on Friday, but he'll probably need at least 4 more wins to assure himself a place in the finals. Can he do it, I hear you ask I dunno.

Making his DC début this week is the wildlife TV presenter, mainly seen on Springwatch and Autumnwatch, Chris Packham.

Well, I was happy with MALISON, MONIALS and SPUMONI in that one myself.
