Alison Shipman is one away from not only half octochampdom, but a clear sweep for the ladies this week. Will she do it? Last day for Fiona Armstrong, and while she certainly hasn't been my favorite DC guest ever, she's certainly a lot better than some others. Next week starts another woman that I've never heard of named Anneka Rice, so we'll see how that goes then.
Join Thomas for the Friday recap later.

Yup, and that editor needs another telling off again today
FATIGUES in round 4.
2nd Numbers Alts.: (75 - (8 - 7)) x 3 x 2 & ((3 + 2) x 100) - (8 x 7) =
444 (My mum did the 2nd one actually.

)
Alison's numbers are still very, very suspect again. Quite a bad miss was the first one.

The lack of that blue mask thing over the conundrum? Maybe it's deliberate.

77x7 etc works as well.

If that's so, why have they been so inconsistent this week, then

Not sure. It just seems strange that they would accidentally forget to do it twice in one week after remembering it every day for the last however many years.
The oddity with the top flippything during the "INCORRECT" shot also happened twice in the same week.
I've really no idea. Maybe this is just the tip of the iceberg, and it's all a huge conspiracy. Next week CECIL's numbers animation will go backwards. The week after that there'll be an extra vibraslap sound in the clock music. The following week the champion's buzzer will make a buzz noise and the challenger's a bell noise. I think if you spot them all and write in, you win a prize. Or some Countdown ninjas break into your house after dark to have you silenced. We need a volunteer to find out.

Maybe it's something to do with the cat.

Why do you keep blaming the editor? The blue mask is there (or not) on the studio monitors during recording, which means it's added by the vision mixer in the studio gallery at the time. Editors can only work with what they're given.
