So, we've now reached the half-century in terms of preliminaries for this series, and we're still no nearer knowing who will be in the series final really, with the obvious exceptions of Jack and Peter.

Our reigning champion is 2-time champion, Mick O'Brien, whose average score is 81, thanks to his scores of 81 & 81. :P Will he win with a score of 81 today :?:

In DC this week, we have our first newbie of the Nick Hewer era, is the former ITN and GMTV newsreader and journalist, Fiona Armstrong, who rather interestingly is also known, by marriage, as Lady MacGregor of MacGregor. :geek:

Join Graeme for his recap later. ;) :) :D

Another way:
8 × (7 × 6 - 1) - 6 = 322

I can't remember if DC said TRADUCE or TRADUCER for R13. If they said TRADUCE, then they could have had TRADUCER for 8.

That had the feel, through my own experience, of being a 10:00 am recording, after the excitement of winning two the day before. Alt first numbers ((9+3-4)x7x10)+25=585.

That would explain my poor performance too

No, they had TRADUCE, and in R3, they had ENROLL, when ENROLLER was there. Plenty of forgetting to add stuff today.

Wendy could also have taken away the 10 in the 1st numbers, to get 2 more points, but that wasn't as critical as Mick's miss at the end there.............

DAINTIER in round 2, TOWLINES in round 8 and OSTERIA in round 11.

2nd Numbers Alt.: (100 + ((3 x 10) / 2)) x (10 - 6) = 460

Anyone else notice the slight error during Wendy's conundrum guess, bar the obvious of course :?:

So just like my third show, a 10:00 start after a 21:00 finish the night before. It's a killer - especially to those grey cells that do maths. BTW another way of doing the middle numbers was (100 - ((10+2-3)x6))x10.
