Interesting new feature from the BBC, telling you what number you were when you were born in terms of people on the planet, and in the history of the world.

I was born on the 4th July 1996 and am apparently the 5,804,073,895th person alive, so where do you fit in?

28 March 1998, and according to the site:

When you were born, you were the:
5,940,130,091st
person alive on Earth
81,406,638,224th
person to have lived since history began

4th August 1971:

The 3,776,009,323rd person alive and the 77,962,279,935th person since history began. I'm sure I read something not long ago along the lines of "more people have been born since 1900 than in all the preceding years put together" but I guess that must be bollocks. Or the BBC's figures are bollocks. Or both are bollocks.

I suspect they're bollocks. I don't know how they expect to be that accurate if you don't have to give the time of your birth and what time zone you were in at the time. Otherwise every person that was born on the same day as Jim will be the 3,776,009,323rd person alive.

4,671,828,054. Will laugh if someone's able/sad enough to calculate my birthday based on that alone. :)

Going by my result I'd guess you were born in 1982, sometime in late January, early February.
