So, we've reached the stage of the week where the tension is mounting, the excitement is building and all hell could break loose at any second, but while we wait just 24 hours more for Co:Lon 2011, let's see what Countodwn has in store for us today.

David Butcher retained the champions' chair yesterday with a hard-fought win over our own Mauro Pratesi, but can he become a half-octochamp by the end of the day :?:

Join Mike in probably a good while for the recap (I say that since he'll be at Co:Lon too).

P.S. If you fancy an extra Origins Of Words to pass the time, here's our Susie explaining the origins of billions and trillions: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15478580

Just to say that I thought Cheryl Baker was a good DC guest overall. The stories weren't overly exciting (er, no), but at least she wasn't reading out of a book or being Jon Gaunt. And she seemed to be making a real effort to get words, and making some good spots too (and crediting Susie when they weren't hers).
