And for those of you who don't give a toss about my escapades on the other side...........

Nikki will be returning for her 7th game hoping to:

a) try and get as near to Dave Taylor as possible in the rankings, before she hopefully makes a bid to overtake him and (within reason) Jayne and Carl too.

and b) try and solve a conundrum too :!:

Join Mike later for the recap. ;) :) :D

I don't like the programme but i have set my sky box to record Pointless today after all the plugs you have given it! I hope you have done well.

It's also Matt Le Tissier's 43rd birthday today. Happy birthday Matt!

As long as you've remembered that all the cool kids lose in the head to head on their first show (thus maximising screen time), you'll be fine.

Rubbish! The best contestants get straight through to the final!

Thanks, but it's not my birthday. I think you meant Matt Le Tissier.

Horrid stodgy letters there and fairly easy numbers, kind of the opposite of what I enjoy. Would hate to get a game like that if I went on.

R6, and indeed the only nice round: vitreous and investor in addition to souvenir and... whatever the other word was that DC offered.

Well done Nikki.
Good luck for the octochamp game on Monday.

The two statements are not mutually incompatible...

Same for me. ENTRANT in round 11. 1st numbers alt: (4x4+7+3)x25-10=640

Good luck Nikki for the eight win!

Fair point! I have never been cool so I'll settle for best. ;)

This is what Nikki needs on Monday to get each seed:

Lose/less than 93 for seed 6
93+ for seed 5 (ahead of Dave Taylor)
107+ for seed 4 (ahead of Jayne Wisniewski)
110+ for seed 3 (ahead of Carl Williams)
215+ for seed 2 (ahead of Graeme Cole)
226+ for seed 1 (ahead of Mark Deeks)

The last two are pretty unrealistic, but seeds 5-3 are achievable, so we'll just have to wait.

Also - Mark, Graeme and Carl have qualified to the finals. If Nikki loses/get less than 107 on Monday Jayne will also qualify.

Good luck Nikki.

Not sure where to put this, as it doesn't really deserve its own thread, so I'll put it here.

"Interesting" fact: all the current top eight seeds faced at least one crucial conundrum in their heats. If this is still true come the finals, it'll be the first time this has happened since Series 46.
