Nikki, after her opponent nearly pulled off a great comeback yesterday, has just managed to cling on to her crown for a 3rd show, so she'll be hoping to become a half-octochamp today. Can she do it :?:

Jackie Kennedy's husband scored 70 to Jan Parker's 83 on the first show of S62 on 11th Jan 2010.

HUGENESS in R6. Alt numbers: 7 x 94 in the first and 4 x 97 in the second (work the details out yourself).

UNSETTLE as an alternative to LUNETTES in R12 and I quite like SMOORED in the VAMOOSES round.

Better performance from Nikki after yesterday's disappointment.

IDOLATER in round 3, FANTODS in round 7 and UNSETTLE in round 12.

Seconded, to the tee. I loved the weird symmetry in my methods and was surprised Susie didn't consider hugeness.

Idolater in rd 3, vroomed in round 8, apiary in 9 (tho not max), and coroner as an alternative to coronet in 13.

Solid win for Nikki without needing to hit top gear and another rung on the octo ladder. Opponent was nervous (although she got the conundrum just before me, the cheek! haha).

I've been caught out the same way several times. Counts for nothing here.

It's doubly annoying when words you know that are in widespread use (e.g. 'laggy') don't appear in the official list, but other synthetic ephemeral neologisms do. Hey ho.
