Well, if yesterday's spoiler and recap threads are anything to go by, the show was pretty sub-standard, so maybe we can hope that today's might bring a bit more joy.

Clearly Peter was distracted by the fact that it was his birthday yesterday, but he'll have to sharpen up today, especially IF he's up against one of our own today...........

I draw caution to the wind by saying a big IF, as supposedly the man we've all been waiting to see appear on the show, James Nguyen claims he's making his debut today. I say "claims", because many of us insiders seem to think he's talking codswallop, because of certain things that don't add up with what he has told us.

So, don't be too disappointed if it isn't him today.

However, Liam (once he's back up to date) will provide the recap as soon as possible.

How temporarily exciting.

I saw two shows recorded yesterday. I was reliably told they were the first recordings for 4 weeks so the Nguyen tales of being there 2 Mondays ago are utter fantasy, as we'd all worked out.

However to my surprise a certain apterite was recording yesterday and will be appearing fairly soon.

OK: I'd written down 11x(100-13) and then couldn't remember all the original numbers

I noticed that too... they usually have to cut the banter and anecdotes down to fit in the time, so maybe there wasn't a "natural" place to do it so they had to cut it in an "unnatural" place. (Hey look, I know all the technical terms.)

Got one of those lovely little unexpected treats last night, checking out Facebook to find a post from an old friend at uni mentioning her younger brother Andy's debut on Countdown.
Sometimes I'm shocked people I know from uni don't come to me whenever they have any relevant Countdown chat, and then I remember not everyone knows about C4C and apterous.
Anyway, he did pretty well, hopefully he'll string some together.

Well, he's won his first game on "Champions Tuesday", so his chances are pretty good.
