LUGED. Honestly. I wrote some jokey stuff (despite being the only person in the Bash Room) like "Hmmmm... GULED? DULGE?" then did LUGED and said something like "Ah, that's the one". Unfortunately, none of this is recorded in the new chat logs - I seem to remember incorrect guesses in the Bash Room used to be.Charlie Reams wrote:Which one did you go for?Adam Gillard wrote:2011-04-06 00:20:29 Everyone got it! a) Glad Charlie's fixed that - why on earth would you want Bash room chat in the main chat logs?Adam Gillard wrote:LUGED. Honestly. b) Sorry to be dumb, I don't get what the brag was. Or the comment in general. Or the big bold 20.8 seconds bit. Explain?

b) It was a joke self-deprecatory brag. It took me 20.8 seconds to unscramble GLUED in the Bash Room, which really didn't need any unscrambling at all.
c) Has Sophie hacked your account?

Re: Official Thread of Brag
So one night I'm bored and I'm like HEY WOULDN'T BULLET HYPERNUMBERS BE AWESOME!? So I decided my first hypernumber attack would be 3 seconds a round because, you know, why the hell not?
I expected to get like 4. I did a bit better, including one the game couldn't get. Though 16 wasn't out of the question, I mis-typed intoa a negative number in the first step of R1 and R8 I really shouldn't have missed considering the other crap I got.
Think 17 max might be feasible ina good bullet game, or at least a max game in normal speed hypernums. Though, from the stats page, if I want a max game I should be picking 3 big instead. Hmmmmmm...

The stats for hyper numbers are very unreliable. It's often possible to solve ones that Apterous fails to.Steve Balog wrote:Though, from the stats page, if I want a max game I should be picking 3 big instead. Hmmmmmm...

Out of interest (I don't click links in the brag thread so I assume I understand your post) how do you test to see if you were the first, other than asking Charlie to run a database query?

This will last until precisely ten minutes after CB sees it and it only works if you ignore the huge max next to it, but... yeah.

I am top of all 8 multi-discipline leaderboards! In getting to this position, I've made it to 80% (rounded up) of the max of all of the high score-formats on the "Top all-rounders" leaderboard. Now for Matthew to take back the numberists and Anglo the multilingual top spots.

Not a record but I was quite pleased to break the record for the number of maxes (taking it from 9 to 11).
Couldn't have broken the record anyway as the max was only 131 (surprisingly low for a Spanish 15).

If you ignore the rest of the game, I'm rather proud of round 14.
The Guardian rather sneakily chose 8 small numbers in hyper. Apterous reckoned it wasn't possible to get anywhere near.
However, even with no tens, I managed to solve it spot on!

102 out of a max of 106 in a Spanish 9. I think I that is probably going to be the pinnacle of my 'career' in Spanish 9!
