Spoilers For Monday January 24th 2011

Post by James Robinson »

Welcome to what I've labelled CoLin week, as everyone on here is preparing themselves for what is sure to be a brilliant weekend in Lincoln. ;) :) :D  8-)

I would say that whatever is happening on Countdown, would be as interesting, but since Adam has now departed as the first octochamp of the series, we can't be so sure, as we'll now start again with 2 new challengers today.

Returning to DC, after half a week in the last series, and presumably not missing his train this time, is ex-GMTV host, and currently co-presenting the BBC's Australian Open tennis coverage at the moment, Andrew Castle.

Ryan will be recapping later. :) :D

NEOLOGISM is epic. Still didn't get it, despite me seeming to have it as a conundrum many times.

Yeah, the whole "it's a new word" was pretty confusing, for me and Jeff at least.

579 is (6+4)*8+2 for 82, x7 for 574 and pop the 5 on the top, innit. Well out of time mind.

Sorry Joseph, I declared COZIEST the other day against the guardian and it was disallowed. There's also a squiggly red line under COZIEST right now. The word is COSIEST.

COZIEST comes up as OT in the recap for today but is invalid on apterous. Interesting.

I saw that in the break as well. Also I preferred my method for the 2-large game. 50*75/(7-1)-4-2. You can often do that sort of thing for targets near 625, cos it's 25*25 so you just multiply the big numbers together and divide by whatever you need to.

JAILERS in round 2, VOIDEST in round 3.

2nd Nos. Alt.: (75 x 7) + ((50 - 1) x 2) - 4 = 619
3rd Nos. Alt.: ((100 + 10) x (7 - 3)) - 6 - 5 = 429

U.S. spelling, I'm afraid. COSIEST only.
