I dont know many either. Thats one of the few I do know and only because I think Doddy mentioned in one of his recaps that CANTERS is never the bare minimum as it makes an 8 with any vowel. Here they are: A=CATERANS, E=SARCENET, I=CANISTER, O=ANCESTOR, U=CENTAURS. There are other anagrams for some of them but those are the ones I remember. Cheers to everyone who shares these useful tidbits on here. As I've mentioned before I was bloody rubbish (well adequate) at this game before I discovered this forum.

What actually tickles me about that suggestion is the slogan at the bottom, because I honestly do feel like that I haven't done anything right in my life so far.

Oh come on Joseph. You've passed a Countdown audition which many haven't. Be positive. Also Dinos, RECUSANT is handier to remember than CENTAURS as you can pluralise RECUSANT if another S is present. As for knowing word stems, the only way to learn them is practice. If you don't care about becoming a quality player, then plod along as normal but if you put your head down and study these lists (or just pick up handy hints from people) then they reap rewards.

Hint for the day: Spot REMOATING (but it's not valid) so offer MORGANITE.
