Adam Gillard - Ryan Taylor. That had an air of inevitability about it.
Mike Brown: "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U

C1: SIGNATURE (18) ["9; not written down"]
C2: SEATING (7)
Score: 108–16 (max 113)

Another niner for Adam and yet another century. Well done, that man."

Haha. I can assure you these pairings are completely random.

Division A:

Innis Carson, new Speedgoat high score holder and all round legend - 2
Eoin Monaghan - 1

Game 1: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?ke ... 1833355094 131-108

This is proof of how the conundrums win games, with Innis getting all 3, I scored in all letters rounds (not risking DECLARER) but Innis' speed and skill won this for him. No surprise then.

Game 2: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?ke ... 0437958534 115-125

This was a bit of a shocker (like the Happenings page says). This time it was I who won 2 out of 3 conundrums with me getting the upper hand on 2 consecutive letters rounds. I didn't rick COWPATS either. Game on here.

Game 3: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?ke ... 0714228495 126-115

This was another tight game we were neck and neck right up to the last conundrum which Innis managed to unravel 6.3 seconds to win the contest. I did much better than I expected but Innis' conundrum skill was top notch.

Thank you very much for the games Innis, they were a joy and pleasure as always.

Oh, and I'm still on no points.

Adam Gillard 73 - 72 Ryan Taylor

Ryan Taylor 82 - 91 Adam Gillard

Two closely fought, well mannered games. In the second game we each spotted a 9 that the other missed, which led to a crucial final conundrum (but Ryan needed 10 points, so couldn't wait for the extra letter).

Thanks for the games Ryan.

TBF there isn't much about Ryan that's worth complimenting.

I don't think "la la la you don't exist so I can't hear you telling me not to eat this apple" is a defence, tbh.
