Spoilers For Wednesday July 7th 2010

The halfway point of the week has arrived, and Ryan is still the champ, despite that dreadful 1st numbers game yesterday.
(Just my opinion, but saying you were "miles away" when 17 x 50 was the answer is very embarrassing.)
Oh well, the champ he still is, but can he get the remaining 3 wins he needs to be an octochamp on Friday

Yep my jaw dropped when both contestants had nothing to offer that round. Having said that he's beaten me on quite a few letters rounds so fair play to him.
edit: I was going to say he's done pretty well so far for a non-apterist but he has played 163 games (albeit only 3 games this year in May and is on trial membership)

In fairness, his lack of skill on the numbers has been more than made up with some good letters spots in his shows. He's definitely got the better of me one more than one occasion.

In Round 4, DC got BOLETUS as a variety of mushroom.
On the subject of food, I'm surprised Susie 'al DENTe' didn't find the more sinister BOTULISM.

Had Ben round for tea and Countdown earlier. Was wicked. I recommend having a forum friend round for Countdown

What's up with POUNCER
It seems to have been removed from the OK list since it was declared not fine when Oliver was on the show. It still registers as fine on the recapper though.
COUVERT in Round 8, OPIATES in Round 9.
1st Numbers Alt.: (100 x 6) / 4 =
150
3rd Numbers Alt.: (75 - 8 - 7 - 7 + 2) x 5 =
275
