Spoilers For Friday April 9th 2010

So, this week has reached the final straight. You might guess where this is going....

As we head into Grand National weekend, the contenders prepare to leave the starting blocks, we have Peter Zyss going 5 furlongs ahead of his challenger, but this thoroughbred's form can be pretty erratic going into the last few furlongs, so maybe his challenger to the crown might pull a surprise today.

So, who will be the champion jockey, and who'll be cleaning up the horseshit :?: (that's a valid 9, i'll have you know! )

Find out with Mr Brown (not wishing to make a connection with the previous sentence) later.

Lowest modern day aggregate ever?
Or lowest winning score for quite sometime, at least.

Easily. Only one lower score in cdb and that was for a nine rounder in series 40. Previous lowest aggegate in 15 rounds was 98 http://www.apterous.org/cdb/game.php?game=1226in series 57 and again http://www.apterous.org/cdb/game.php?game=4970 in series 60

What was the final score today?

The show before I had my first show finished 51-48 IIRC

Man-you're really off form today.Truly terrible. Starting blocks? What sort of horse racing have you been watching? And you've used furlong twice in as many seconds. I hope you don't take a fence (ahem), but that made my alimentary canal turn. :x

As you can tell, Damian, my horse racing knowledge is below basic. I knew blocks was wrong, but couldn't rememeber gates, and as mentioned before, I don't care much for horse racing, especially if it knocks this show off the schedule. (Luckily, the Grand National is on BBC One.)

Onto today's game, I think that was one of the weirdest games ever. I bet Andrew wished that it was a Numbers Attack, as he might've breezed it, unlike on a Letters Attack, for example. (Has anyone ever given 7 incorrect words on a show before :?: )

Pretty happy with SAUTOIRS in round 11 and TENDRIL in round 12. :D

2nd Numbers Alt: ((7 x 6) x (6 + 3)) - 2 = 376

3rd Numbers Alt: (((9 x 7) - (4 x 3)) x 10) + 8 = 518

7 incorrect words? You have to wonder how he managed to get through the audition....

It crossed my mind that, coming from near Wakefield, he was a standby contestant, so may not have had to acheive such a high standard, but nerves almost certainly played a part, I would have thought - although his numbers were pretty good, to be fair.

How often would you miss ASTEROIDS in an audition?
