I didn't see the show but I'm guessing for round 2 Jo Brand offered MOPFIGHT. Am I right?

Any reason why OXTAILS isn't allowed? My albeit old COD 8ed lists OXTAIL (n) the tail of an ox, often used in making soup. So surely has a valid plural? (unless it's Oxentails I suppose!)

Tim.

OXTAIL is actually a mass noun, so it hard to say whether OXTAILS would be allowed. Susie Dent would have the final say on whether it was allowed or not.

There is a discussion in here to do with Mass Nouns that focuses on other mass noun words discussed.

But isn't it the tail of an ox?

Edit - in my NODE (albeit not the latest dictionary), it has it as a count and mass noun (the mass noun being the meat of the oxtail). Has this changed then?
