If you read it carefully:
Joseph Squires, 66, of Overpark Avenue, is charged with buggery of a donkey between February and April 1999 and buggery with a horse in March 2004.
you'll notice that it's buggery of a donkey but with a horse. The horse is his co-accused.

I think that just means it was consensual.

I used to think my dad was into Horses as he always used to fancy the one with the sheepskin noseband.

There was a similar case in Bradford Magistrates' Court about 20 odd years ago. A chap had been caught having sex with a horse in the middle of a field.

After pleading guilty, his solicitor gave his mitigation. He explained that his client had been taken into care at an early age and, in his childhood, he had been regularly moved from one foster home to another. "In fact" said the solicitor "I think it's fair to say that my client has never had a stable relationship".

Needless to say, the Courtroom cracked up in laughter.

ALOLd, thanks for that, Philip!

How awful can it be, though? Sick, yes, but presumably an animal as large as a horse could run off if it wanted to.

They've removed the word "buggery" from the article while still claiming that it was last updated at at 17:22 GMT, Wednesday, 6 January 2010. They should bugger off.
